*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Krichim (Кричим) sits beside a reservoir often referred to locally as the Krichim lake, and its surface water temperatures follow a typical continental pattern. In spring (April–May) surface temperatures usually range from about 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as the water warms after winter. In summer (June–August) the lake commonly reaches 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) at the surface, with shallower, sheltered bays occasionally hitting 27–28 °C (81–82 °F) on hot spells. During autumn (September–October) temperatures fall back to roughly 14–20 °C (57–68 °F), and in winter the surface can drop near freezing, roughly 0–6 °C (32–43 °F), with deeper water remaining colder year‑round.
Swimming in the Krichim reservoir is a regular summertime activity for locals and visitors when surface temperatures are comfortable, but it is not universally regulated as a formal beach area. Bathing is generally allowed in open areas, yet there are safety and water‑quality considerations: no lifeguards are usually present, parts of the shoreline have steep drop‑offs or submerged structures, and access can be limited near dam works or boat channels. Water quality tends to be acceptable in most seasons, but it can vary after heavy rains or from local runoff, so swimmers should choose well‑used spots, heed local signs, and exercise usual caution.
