*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Pazardzhik (Пазарджик) lies in the Upper Thracian Plain of southern Bulgaria near several small lakes, reservoirs and the Maritsa River. Water temperatures in these lowland lakes vary with the season and location: in winter surface temperatures commonly fall to about 0–6 °C (32–43 °F), spring warming brings roughly 6–16 °C (43–61 °F), summer surface highs typically reach 20–27 °C (68–81 °F) in sheltered, shallow areas, and autumn sees cooling to about 12–20 °C (54–68 °F). Shallow bays and small reservoirs warm faster and can be several degrees warmer than deeper sections; conversely, deeper water and inflow from rivers can keep temperatures lower even in midsummer.
Swimming is generally possible and popular in the warmer months when surface temperatures exceed roughly 20 °C (68 °F), but whether it is allowed depends on the specific site, water quality, and safety measures. Designated beaches and recreational areas are usually open for bathing when authorities declare them safe; some reservoirs or areas near waterworks, boat channels, or steep banks may be restricted for safety or water-supply reasons. Water quality, currents, underwater hazards and the absence of lifeguards are common reasons for prohibitions, so visitors should follow local signage and municipal guidance before entering the water.
