*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Pivdennyi Buh (Southern Bug) is a large river that flows through southern Ukraine, and its temperature in summer tends to be fairly warm in shallow, sun-exposed parts. During July and August, shallow banks or slow-moving stretches often reach 24-27 °C on hot days. Deeper channels, shaded areas, or sections with stronger current remain cooler—likely in the range 18-22 °C. Early in the warm season (late spring) and after rains, the water is noticeably colder, which can make swimming for a long time uncomfortable.
Swimming in the Pivdennyi Buh is possible in many places, especially where the banks are gentle, the flow is mild, and the riverbed is more even. Locals often use these accessible areas for cooling off, leisure swimming, and recreation. However, things to watch out for: after rainstorms the river may become muddy, currents may strengthen, and depths may change unpredictably. Also, water quality can vary depending on upstream pollution or agricultural runoff. For safety, it helps to stick to well-known spots, stay near shore, and check how clear the water is before entering.
