The Dohna River, located in Vinnytsia Oblast, is a small and tranquil waterway that flows through gentle valleys and agricultural landscapes before joining larger rivers in the region. It is a modest river with a slow current and relatively shallow depth, which allows its water to warm up quickly in summer. By early June, the water temperature often rises to around 19–21°C, while in July and August it typically reaches 23–25°C. In shaded areas or after rainfall, the temperature can drop a few degrees, but on sunny days the water feels pleasantly warm.
Swimming in the Dohna River is possible in several stretches, particularly near villages where the banks are accessible and the flow is calm. The water is generally clean, especially in upstream sections where there is less human activity.
