The Ladyzhynske Reservoir, formed on the Pivdennyi Buh River near the city of Ladyzhyn, is one of the most significant artificial lakes in Vinnytsia region. The reservoir’s water temperature varies throughout the year: during summer, it typically reaches 23–27°C, especially in shallow bays and calm sections. In spring and autumn, the temperature is moderate — around 14–19°C — while in winter it cools down considerably but does not always freeze completely because of the flow from the nearby power plant, which slightly warms the water.
