*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Navesti jõgi (Navesti River) is a medium-sized Estonian river whose water temperature follows the country’s seasonal cycle. In winter the river is often at or just above freezing, typically around 0–2 °C (32–36 °F) when ice forms on slower stretches. During spring thaw temperatures rise but remain cool, roughly 4–10 °C (39–50 °F) as snowmelt keeps the flow cold. Summer brings the warmest conditions, with shallow, slow-flowing sections commonly warming to about 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) on sunny days, while deeper or faster stretches stay cooler. In autumn temperatures decline again to roughly 5–12 °C (41–54 °F) as air temperatures fall and daylight shortens.
Swimming in the Navesti is generally possible and not legally prohibited, but opportunities depend on location, season and conditions. Many people swim in calm, shallow bays and slow-flowing meanders in summer when temperatures are most comfortable, but there are no widespread lifeguarded beaches and currents, underwater obstacles and variable water quality can pose risks. In winter, ice swimming is practiced by some where ice is reliably thick, but this requires caution and local knowledge. Before entering the water it is sensible to assess current, depth and recent weather and to follow any local advisories or posted warnings for safety.
