Location & Local Information
The Mislinja River flows through the northern part of Slovenia, winding its way from the Pohorje area toward the Drava basin. Being a smaller alpine-influenced river, its water tends to stay cool for most of the year. In spring and early summer, the temperature usually remains around 10–14°C, while in shallow sections during hot summer days it can rise to 18–20°C. This makes it refreshing, though not particularly comfortable for long swimming sessions.
Locals occasionally use calmer stretches of the Mislinja for quick dips or wading, especially on hot days. However, the river is not widely known as a swimming spot; it is more appreciated for its natural surroundings, peaceful banks, and opportunities for walking or relaxing by the water.
