*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Oplotnica River flows from the Pohorje hills through northeastern Slovenia, shaping a mix of forested valleys and small settlements before joining the Dravinja. As a smaller river with mountain influence, its water remains on the cooler side for much of the year. In spring and early summer, temperatures usually stay around 10–15°C, while in the hottest months shallow stretches can warm up to 18–20°C. This makes the river refreshing rather than warm, offering more of a quick cool-down than a long swim.
People sometimes take advantage of its calm sections, especially where natural pools form, to dip during hot days. However, Oplotnica is better known for its natural beauty, hiking paths along the banks, and the peaceful atmosphere of the valley. Swimming is not a common activity here, but the river provides pleasant spots to rest, paddle in the water, or enjoy the cooler air near its flow.
