*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Dravinja River, a tributary of the Drava, flows through the rolling hills and fertile valleys of northeastern Slovenia. Being a smaller river with a relatively gentle flow, its water warms up more quickly than larger alpine streams. In summer, the temperature is usually mild to pleasantly warm, making it inviting for short swims or simply cooling down on hot days. Still, after periods of rain or in springtime, the water can feel noticeably cooler.
Swimming in the Dravinja is more of a local, informal activity rather than an organized one. There are several shallow stretches where people wade, play, or relax by the water, and in some calm bends or deeper pools it is possible to take a proper swim. The river’s natural setting, with greenery along its banks, makes it an attractive spot for those who prefer a quiet, less crowded alternative to lakes or swimming pools.
