*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

The Agogna, a tributary of the Po running through northern Piedmont, shows marked seasonal variation in water temperature. In winter the river is cold, typically around 2–6 °C (36–43 °F), while spring brings gradual warming to roughly 6–14 °C (43–57 °F). In summer shallower and slower stretches can reach about 18–25 °C (64–77 °F), though cooler temperatures persist in faster or shaded channels and upstream reaches. Autumn cooling usually drops temperatures back to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). Local factors such as flow rate, groundwater inputs, shading, and recent rainfall can create substantial short-term variability, so measured temperatures at one spot may not reflect conditions a few kilometers away.
Swimming in the Agogna is possible in many places but is not universally recommended or permitted; allowance depends on local municipal rules, posted signs, and water quality. Some stretches are used recreationally in summer where currents are moderate and water quality meets standards, while other parts are unsafe because of strong currents, sudden depth changes, submerged obstacles, or agricultural and urban pollution after heavy rains. Authorities may close access during flood risk or contamination events. Anyone considering swimming should check local guidance, be aware of hazards, and avoid areas where signage or conditions indicate restriction or danger.
