Upper Lough Erne, an extensive and island-dotted freshwater lake in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, is characterized by its typically cold waters. While temperatures fluctuate seasonally, the lake remains cool throughout the year. In the depths of winter, the water temperature commonly settles in the range of 7∘C to 10∘C (45∘F to 50∘F).
