*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Trasimeno, a shallow, gently sloping lake in Umbria, tends to warm more quickly than deeper alpine or mountain lakes. Seasonal surface temperatures typically range from around 6–10 °C (43–50 °F) in winter, rise through spring to roughly 10–20 °C (50–68 °F), and reach their warmest in summer, often between about 22–28 °C (72–82 °F) during the hottest months. In autumn the water cools again, generally settling in the 12–20 °C (54–68 °F) band depending on weather patterns. Because the lake is relatively shallow and sheltered, it shows larger and quicker temperature swings from season to season than deep lakes do.
Swimming in Lake Trasimeno is permitted and commonly practiced, especially from the municipal beaches and designated bathing areas around the shoreline where facilities and seasonal lifeguards are often present. Authorities monitor water quality and some stretches, particularly reed beds and protected wetland zones, are restricted to protect wildlife or because of variable water quality; occasional algal blooms can also lead to temporary advisories. Visitors planning to swim are advised to use marked beaches and pay attention to local notices for safety and environmental protection.
