** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Chiusi (Lago di Chiusi) in Tuscany is a relatively shallow inland lake whose surface temperatures vary markedly by season. In winter the water typically cools to roughly 4–8 °C (39–46 °F). Spring sees a steady rise, with surface temperatures commonly in the 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) range as air warms and sunlight increases. In the warmest months of July and August the lake can reach about 22–28 °C (72–82 °F) at the surface, especially in sheltered bays, while autumn temperatures usually fall back into the 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) band as the season progresses.
Swimming around Lake Chiusi is not organized in the way coastal beaches are: there are few if any staffed bathing facilities, and parts of the lake and its shoreline are valued for fishing, birdlife and reedbeds. For these reasons bathing is often discouraged and some areas may be subject to local restrictions to protect wildlife or because of variable water quality and aquatic vegetation that can make access and safety problematic. Informal swimming by locals does occur in warm weather, but visitors should check local signage and municipal rules before entering the water and be mindful that no lifeguards or managed services are typically provided.
