*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Ledro (Lago di Ledro) sits at about 650 meters in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and is known for relatively mild, seasonally variable water temperatures compared with higher alpine lakes. In winter the surface commonly ranges from near freezing up to around 4–6 °C (39–43 °F), while spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) by late May. During the main summer months temperatures are most inviting for bathing: June to August typically record averages around 20–24 °C (68–75 °F), with sheltered, shallow spots occasionally reaching 25–26 °C (77–79 °F) on warm, sunny days. In early autumn the water cools again to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) before winter conditions return.
Swimming is allowed and popular at Lake Ledro because of its accessible shores, designated bathing areas and generally good water quality overseen by local authorities during the warmer months. Public beaches and lidos provide easy entry and facilities, and the summer temperature range makes casual swimming comfortable for most visitors. Outside the bathing season the cooler temperatures limit prolonged immersion and reduce safety, so swimmers should use caution and consider local advisories; a few enthusiasts practice cold-water swimming year-round, but this requires experience and appropriate precautions.
