*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago della Serraia, on the Pine Plateau in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, is a small alpine lake whose water temperatures reflect its elevation and spring-fed character. Seasonal surface temperatures typically range from about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) in winter when ice can form, through 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) in spring, to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) in the warmest months of July and August. In autumn temperatures usually fall back to around 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). Shallow areas and sunlit bays warm more quickly, while deeper parts remain significantly cooler even in summer.
Swimming at Lago della Serraia is commonly practiced in summer when surface temperatures are most comfortable, and public access to the shoreline makes bathing feasible. There is no widespread ban on swimming, but seasonal and local restrictions can apply to protect sensitive habitats or for safety reasons, so visitors should heed signage and local guidance. Even in summer, swimmers should be cautious about sudden depth changes and cold water shocks, and those planning long swims should be prepared for cooler-than-expected conditions lower in the water column.
