*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago di Lamar is a small alpine lake in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol whose water remains noticeably cool for most of the year. Typical seasonal surface temperatures range from near freezing in winter—around 0 to 4 °C (32 to 39 °F) when ice or slush can form—to the low double digits in spring and autumn, roughly 2 to 10 °C (36 to 50 °F). In summer months the shallow upper layers can warm somewhat, with common daytime surface values of about 10 to 18 °C (50 to 64 °F) on warm spells; even then the lake rarely approaches the warmth of lowland bathing waters, and deeper pockets stay much colder.
Swimming is generally possible but uncommon, mainly because the water stays cold and the lake sits within a sensitive mountain landscape. There are typically no formal beaches or lifeguard services, so bathing is undertaken at one’s own risk; cold-water immersion can lead to shock or rapid loss of body heat, so caution is advised. Additionally, parts of the area are managed for conservation and outdoor recreation, and local rules or seasonal restrictions aimed at protecting habitats may discourage or limit swimming. Visitors should check on-site notices and use good judgment about safety and environmental impact before entering the water.
