*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Haçlı Gölü, a shallow lake in Muş province in eastern Turkey, exhibits marked seasonal variation in surface water temperatures because of its elevation and continental climate. In winter months the surface can approach freezing, typically around 0–2 °C (32–36 °F), with ice cover possible during prolonged cold spells. Spring brings gradual warming, with water commonly in the 4–10 °C (39–50 °F) range as snowmelt and runoff feed the lake. In summer the lake reaches its warmest values, often between 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) on calm, sunny days. In autumn temperatures drop again to roughly 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) as air temperatures fall and daylight shortens.
Swimming in Haçlı Gölü is not formally organized; locals sometimes bathe there during the warmest weeks, but there are typically no lifeguards, marked swimming areas, or facilities. Whether swimming is permitted can depend on seasonal conditions, local regulations and conservation measures—colder shoulder seasons pose hypothermia risk and sudden weather changes are common, while water quality and wildlife protection may also restrict access. Visitors interested in swimming should look for local signage or advice from residents and take standard precautions: avoid alone swimming, be prepared for cold water, and respect any protected-area rules or temporary closures.
