*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lagmanshagasjön is a smaller inland lake in Västra Götaland County whose water temperatures follow the typical seasonal pattern for southern Swedish lakes. In spring the surface usually rises from around 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as air temperatures climb and ice melts. During summer, especially on warm, calm days, the lake can warm to roughly 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) at the surface, making swimming most comfortable between June and August. In early autumn the water cools back toward 10–15 °C (50–59 °F) and by late autumn and winter the surface temperature often approaches 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with ice cover possible during cold spells.
Swimming in Lagmanshagasjön is generally possible and commonly practiced in the warmer months because Swedish access rights and local recreation areas allow public use of many lakes. However, conditions can vary locally: water quality, underwater hazards, steep or muddy banks and private shoreline sections can affect safety and access, so it is sensible to heed any local signs and guidance. Winter swimming or ice bathing is feasible only for those experienced with ice safety and proper equipment. As with any natural water, swimmers should be cautious about sudden weather changes, water temperature shock and personal swimming ability.
