*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Embalse del Buseo (Spanish: Embalse del Buseo) is a reservoir in the province of Valencia whose water temperature varies with the seasons. In winter the surface water typically cools to around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), while spring brings a gradual rise to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). During the warmest months surface temperatures can reach approximately 20–26 °C (68–79 °F), depending on air temperature, depth and water renewal; autumn sees a decline back toward 14–20 °C (57–68 °F). These ranges are approximate and can shift year to year depending on rainfall, inflow, and local weather patterns, with deeper areas remaining noticeably colder than shallow bays.
Swimming at Embalse del Buseo is commonly restricted or discouraged for reasons related to reservoir management and safety. As a managed water body used for irrigation and sometimes drinking supply, authorities often limit bathing to protect water quality and infrastructure; additionally, steep banks, submerged hazards, sudden depth changes and occasional boat or maintenance traffic create safety risks. Visitors should follow on-site signage and local regulations; where swimming is prohibited, nearby designated natural swimming spots or municipal pools are safer alternatives.
