*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Embalse de Manzanares, a reservoir northwest of Madrid, has water temperatures that vary considerably through the year. In winter the surface typically falls to about 4–8 °C (39–46 °F), making the water very cold. Spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as air temperatures warm. In the warmest months the reservoir can reach around 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) at the surface on sunny, calm days, though deeper or shaded areas remain cooler. During autumn temperatures usually drop again to the order of 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). These values are approximate and depend on recent weather, wind, depth and inflows, so actual conditions may vary from day to day.
Swimming at the Embalse de Manzanares is generally not permitted or is strongly discouraged by authorities because the reservoir functions as part of a managed water supply and to protect water quality, and because of safety concerns such as sudden depth changes, submerged hazards, currents from inflows and a lack of lifeguard services. While some people occasionally enter the water in unofficial spots, it is advisable to follow posted rules and local regulations and to avoid bathing there for legal and safety reasons.
