*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Avigliana Lakes, a pair of small glacial lakes near Turin in Piedmont, have fairly cool water for much of the year because of their origin and modest depth. Seasonal surface temperatures typically range from about 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) in spring, warming to roughly 20–26 °C (68–79 °F) in summer, dropping again to around 10–18 °C (50–64 °F) during autumn, and falling to near 4–7 °C (39–45 °F) in winter. Temperatures can vary with air temperature, sunlight and rainfall, and deeper or shaded areas remain noticeably colder than sunny shallows.
Swimming is commonly practiced in the summer months when temperatures are most comfortable, and there are designated spots where bathing is permitted. However, access and suitability depend on local regulations and water quality assessments: parts of the lakes fall within a regional natural park and some zones are protected or temporarily closed if authorities detect algal blooms or contamination after heavy rains. Safety is also a consideration, as lifeguards are not always present and sudden temperature changes can be risky. Visitors planning to swim should follow posted signs and any advisories from park authorities to ensure both personal safety and protection of the lake environment.
