*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
In Kryvyi Rih, the Inhulets River passes right through the city and forms one of its natural water features. In warm summer months, parts of the river — especially the slower stretches and those closer to the banks — may warm up sufficiently for brief dips, with surface temperatures potentially reaching the low to mid 20s °C under favorable conditions. However, the deeper channels and more swiftly flowing segments will remain cooler, and the temperature may vary significantly depending on shade, inflows, and weather. According to river temperature monitoring, in the Kryvyi Rih area in September the water temperature has been recorded in the range of about 16 °C (which is relatively cool but still swimmable for some), though that is outside of peak summer.
Swimming in the Inhulets inside Kryvyi Rih is quite limited and should be approached with caution. A major issue is pollution: the river in this region is significantly affected by discharges from mining operations and industrial enterprises in the Kryvyi Rih basin, which degrade the ecological quality of the water.
Moreover, the riverbed may be irregular, with submerged debris, sharp drops, or muddy areas, which raise safety concerns. Thus, while locals may occasionally use calmer bank areas for cooling off during heat waves, any decision to swim should rest on careful inspection of water clarity, quality, and local reputation of the spot.
