The Iskrivske Reservoir on the Inhulets marks one of the regulation points of the river in Kirovohrad Oblast. In summer months, the water in this stretch of Inhulets (including near the reservoir) can warm up to comfortable swimming levels—typically in the low to mid-20s °C. For example, river temperature measurements elsewhere along the Inhulets show values around 16 °C currently (outside of summer), but during the warm season the water often reaches 20–25 °C or more.
However, whether swimming is advisable right at the reservoir depends on other factors: the depth and circulation of the water, possible stagnation, water quality (pollutants, algae), and safety of banks or bottoms. Artificial reservoirs sometimes have slower flow and zones of poor mixing, which can lead to warm but less fresh water or stratification.
