Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The city of Artsyz is located in the southern part of the Odesa Oblast, far from direct access to the sea, but near it lies the Artsyz Reservoir on the Kogylnyk River. This reservoir is the main local body of water and a key location for water recreation. Due to its location in a steppe zone with hot summers and the reservoir being relatively shallow, the water in it heats up very well and quickly. During the peak summer season, namely July and August, the water temperature here often reaches a comfortable +22 to +25∘C, which is ideal for swimming.
Swimming opportunities in Artsyz are centered around the reservoir itself. Although it is a small city, locals and visitors use the banks of the reservoir for relaxation, fishing, and swimming. As with most inland reservoirs, the conditions here can be quite wild, lacking the developed beach infrastructure found on the seaside. It is important to remember that swimming is usually undertaken at one's own risk, and caution should be exercised regarding unknown bottom areas and depth.
Overall, the Artsyz Reservoir is the main body of water for recreation in the city, offering refreshing coolness during the hot summer months. The warm water in the summer allows for fully enjoying water activities, making it an important leisure spot for the local community.
