Loznica, a town in western Serbia, lies on the right bank of the Drina River, one of the most picturesque rivers in the Balkans. The Drina’s water near Loznica is clear and relatively cool throughout the year, as it comes from mountain sources in the Dinaric Alps. In spring, the water temperature usually ranges between 9 and 14 °C, while in summer it warms to 19–23 °C, occasionally reaching 24 °C in shallow and calm areas.
