*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Hyrylä, located in the municipality of Tuusula in Uusimaa, lies on the western shore of Lake Tuusula, one of southern Finland’s well-known recreational lakes. The lake’s shallow depth allows it to warm up relatively quickly in summer compared to deeper lakes in the region. After the ice melts in late April or early May, the surface temperature is around 5–8 °C (41–46 °F). As early summer progresses, the water warms to 14–17 °C (57–63 °F), and in July, the warmest period, Lake Tuusula typically reaches 19–23 °C (66–73 °F). During sunny spells, sheltered bays can briefly exceed 24 °C (75 °F). By late September, the temperature falls below 10 °C (50 °F), and the lake usually freezes by late November.
Swimming in Lake Tuusula is allowed and highly popular during summer. The water quality is regularly monitored, and the lake’s gentle slopes and sandy areas make it suitable for swimmers of all ages. Public beaches such as Tuusulan ranta in Hyrylä provide safe and pleasant access to the water. The warm summer temperatures create comfortable swimming conditions, while the clear and calm waters offer opportunities for boating and paddleboarding. Although too cool in spring and autumn, midsummer in Hyrylä provides ideal conditions for swimming and lakeside recreation.
