** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Burrel (Burreli) in Dibër County lies near the Mat valley and several small reservoirs, the most notable nearby waterbody being the Ulëz Reservoir. Water temperatures in these lakes vary by season: in spring surface temperatures typically rise from about 6–15 °C (43–59 °F), peaking in summer around 18–25 °C (64–77 °F). In autumn the water cools back to roughly 10–16 °C (50–61 °F), while winter surface readings commonly fall to around 4–8 °C (39–46 °F). Deeper water remains colder year-round and can be several degrees lower than surface measurements, especially outside the warmest months.
Swimming is physically possible during the warmer months when surface temperatures approach the upper end of the summer range, but it is not an organized, lifeguarded activity in most of these reservoirs. Official rules and local practice vary: some areas allow informal bathing while others restrict access because reservoirs serve hydroelectric, irrigation and drinking-water functions. Safety concerns include cold deep water, sudden level changes from dam operations, underwater obstacles and limited supervision, so visitors should follow local signage and municipal guidance before entering the water.
