Water Temperature Trends

Ceuta, another autonomous city of Spain located on the northern coast of Africa, has a Mediterranean climate that results in relatively mild sea temperatures throughout the year. During the winter months, from December to February, the water temperature ranges from about 14°C to 16°C (57°F to 61°F). While it is cooler compared to the summer, it is still relatively mild compared to more northern European coastal regions.

As spring arrives, the sea temperature in Ceuta starts to warm up, reaching around 16°C to 18°C (61°F to 64°F) by April and May. Summer months, from June to September, bring the highest water temperatures, which can rise to 22°C to 24°C (72°F to 75°F), making it a comfortable time for beach activities and swimming. In autumn, from October to November, the water temperature gradually drops back to around 19°C to 21°C (66°F to 70°F), which is still favorable for outdoor water sports and swimming.
