The Ščavnica River flows through the northeastern part of Slovenia, winding across the Prekmurje region before joining the Mur. As a lowland river with a slower current, its water tends to warm up quickly in the summer months. On hot days, the temperature can feel pleasantly mild, making it suitable for short dips or simply cooling down. In spring or after rainfall, however, the water may become cooler and the river more turbid.
