The River Brosna, flowing through the Irish Midlands, connects a number of loughs and ultimately joins the River Shannon. Its water temperature is typical of Ireland’s inland waterways, being cool year-round. While precise data can vary along its length, in the winter months, the Brosna can be expected to drop to approximately 5∘C to 8∘C (41∘F to 46∘F). During the warmer summer period, the temperature may rise to a range of 14∘C to 18∘C (57∘F to 64∘F).
