*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Fluvià (Río Fluviá in Spanish) is a modest Catalan river whose water temperatures vary with the Mediterranean climate of the region. Typical seasonal ranges are roughly 6–10 °C (43–50 °F) in winter, 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) in spring, 18–26 °C (64–79 °F) in summer, and 12–18 °C (54–64 °F) in autumn. Shallow pools and slower stretches warm up more quickly in dry summers and can reach the upper end of the summer range, while colder, faster-flowing reaches and times after heavy rain remain much cooler.
Swimming in the Fluvià is commonly practised in informal “gorg” pools and calm sections, and there is no blanket prohibition across the river, but allowances depend on local rules, land ownership and seasonal water quality. Authorities sometimes advise against bathing when flows are high, when algal blooms or pollution reduce water quality, or where signage restricts access. Safety considerations such as currents, submerged rocks and variable depths also affect whether a particular spot is suitable. Visitors should heed local notices or municipal guidance, choose established swimming locations and be aware that conditions can change quickly.
