*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
The Chornyi Tashlyk River, flowing through the Kirovohrad Oblast, is a small river typical of the region, and its water regime and temperature are directly dependent on seasonal conditions. In the middle of summer, especially in July and August, when the weather is hot, the water in the river generally warms up well. The temperature can reach a comfortable 22−25∘C for prolonged swimming. However, in areas where the river has spring-fed sources or where deep sections or ponds (e.g., created by dams) are located, the water might be cooler. There are even mentions of small waterfalls on tributaries where one can experience the unusual effect of mixing warm and cold water.
Swimming opportunities on the Chornyi Tashlyk are primarily characterized by wild or spontaneous recreation, as officially equipped beaches with infrastructure and lifeguards are rare here. In places where the river is blocked by dams, fairly large and deep ponds often form, which are suitable for swimming. Many locals and tourists choose sections with gentler and rockier banks, for example, near villages like Voronivka or Vilne. Such sections, especially the left bank, are considered more convenient for entering the water.
When planning to swim in the Chornyi Tashlyk, one should aim for the peak of summer for the warmest water. It should always be kept in mind that when swimming in undeveloped areas, you take responsibility for your own safety. Furthermore, the presence of rocky banks and dams can create an uneven bottom relief, so caution is recommended. Despite the lack of developed beach infrastructure, the river offers good conditions for a refreshing natural escape.
