Location & Local Information
The Shpolka River, flowing through Cherkasy Oblast, is a small tributary that gives the town of Shpola its name. Because of its modest size and shallow depth, the river warms up quickly in summer, often reaching 22–24°C during hot weather. This makes the water pleasant for short swims and for cooling off, although the river is not large enough for wide swimming areas like in bigger rivers.
Locals sometimes use the calmer sections of the Shpolka for bathing, especially in spots where the banks slope gently into the water.
