*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Stagno di Santa Giusta is a shallow coastal lagoon on the west coast of Sardinia whose water temperature reflects its small depth and strong connection to the sea and local climate. In winter the lagoon is cool, typically around 10–14 °C (50–57 °F), while spring and autumn see a gradual rise to roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F). In summer, shallow waters warm noticeably and commonly reach 24–28 °C (75–82 °F), and in particularly hot spells surface temperatures can climb toward 28–30 °C (82–86 °F). Because the lagoon is shallow and sheltered, it responds more quickly to air temperature than open sea, so daily and even hourly variations are possible.
Swimming is physically possible in parts of the stagno, but it is not a typical recreational beach environment and access or use may be discouraged or regulated. The bottom is often muddy, visibility is low, and extensive vegetation and birdlife make many areas unsuitable for casual bathing; conservation rules exist to protect habitats and nesting birds, and water quality can vary with runoff or algal growth. Visitors who consider entering the water should check local signage and restrictions and be aware that the best swimming options in the area are generally on nearby sandy seaside beaches rather than inside the lagoon itself.
