*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago del Liscia, an artificial reservoir in northern Sardinia, experiences marked seasonal variation in water temperature. In winter the surface typically cools to around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), while spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F). By summer the shallower bays and protected inlets commonly warm to about 20–28 °C (68–82 °F) at their warmest, and early autumn temperatures usually fall back into a 15–22 °C (59–72 °F) band as the lake cools and rainfall increases. Local conditions such as depth, wind, and recent rainfall can cause significant day-to-day differences, with shallower areas heating faster and deep basins remaining cooler.
Swimming is commonly practiced at Lago del Liscia and is allowed in many of the recreationally managed coves and shoreline access points because the reservoir is used for leisure activities. However, access and use can be limited for safety or water-management reasons: areas close to the dam, intake structures, or boat channels are often restricted, and local authorities may close sections when water quality, levels, or weather present hazards. Visitors should follow posted signage, heed any local rules, and be aware that lifeguards are not guaranteed; standard precautions for currents, underwater obstacles, and boat traffic are advisable.
