*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lake Mulargia, or Lago Mulargia, is a Sardinian reservoir whose water temperatures follow the Mediterranean island climate patterns. In winter months water typically sits around 8–12 °C (46–54 °F), spring brings gradual warming to roughly 12–18 °C (54–64 °F), and peak summer temperatures in sheltered, shallow areas commonly reach about 20–26 °C (68–79 °F). By autumn temperatures usually cool to roughly 16–20 °C (61–68 °F). Deeper parts of the reservoir and areas near inflows or the dam remain noticeably cooler year-round, while shallow coves warm fastest on sunny days.
Swimming at Lake Mulargia is possible in many spots, but access and permissibility depend on local rules, signage and safety considerations. Some stretches may be restricted because of proximity to dam structures, intake works, or ecological protections, and the reservoir’s steep banks, variable depth and absence of lifeguards make caution advisable. Water quality is often good for recreation, yet conditions can vary with season and rainfall, so visitors should check current local guidance before entering the water and respect any posted prohibitions intended to protect public safety or the reservoir’s infrastructure and environment.
