Rostojávri in Troms County is a northern Norwegian lake with typically cold water temperatures that reflect its high latitude and seasonal ice cover. In spring and early summer surface temperatures are often low, roughly 1–8 °C (34–46 °F), as snowmelt and cold inflows keep the water chilly. Peak summer warmth is modest compared with more southerly lakes, commonly ranging from about 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) on warm days, while autumn sees a decline toward roughly 4–10 °C (39–50 °F).
