*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Lago delle Lame (Lake Lame) is a small upland reservoir in Liguria whose water temperature follows the typical seasonal pattern of mountain and subalpine lakes. In winter the surface often falls to around 2–6 °C (about 36–43 °F), producing very cold conditions. Spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 6–12 °C (43–54 °F) as snowmelt and cooler weather continue to influence the basin. In the warmest months, midsummer surface temperatures can reach roughly 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) in sheltered shallows and on calm days, though deeper parts remain noticeably colder. By autumn temperatures usually decline to about 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) as air temperatures cool and mixing increases.
Swimming opportunities at Lago delle Lame depend on local regulations and safety considerations rather than only on temperature. Some small reservoirs and mountain lakes in Liguria prohibit bathing because they serve water-management or drinking-water functions, pose hazards from steep banks and underwater structures, or are subject to ecological protections. Where swimming is permitted, conditions can still be challenging due to cold, sudden temperature changes and limited lifeguard provision, so caution is advised. Visitors should observe on-site signage and municipal rules and be prepared for colder water than in coastal spots.
