*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Laghi di Lavagnina, a set of small reservoirs in Piedmont, tends to have cool, relatively variable water temperatures because of modest elevation, depth and inflows from mountain streams. Typical seasonal surface temperatures range roughly from about 4–8 °C (39–46 °F) in winter, through 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) in spring, rising to approximately 18–25 °C (64–77 °F) in the warmest weeks of summer, and falling back to around 10–16 °C (50–61 °F) in autumn. Local conditions such as recent rainfall, wind, shading by surrounding woods and the lake’s depth can cause short-term swings; deeper water remains noticeably colder year-round and can form a thermocline in summer.
Swimming is commonly practiced there in summer when surface temperatures are most comfortable, but access and use are subject to local rules and practical safety considerations. Some shorelines and inlets are suitable for bathing, while areas near dams, steep banks or inlets may be unsafe and in some cases off-limits for water-management or water-quality reasons. There are often no lifeguards, and colder subsurface water presents a risk of cramps or shock, so swimmers should heed signage, respect any official restrictions and use caution when entering the water.
