** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Buresø (Danish: Buresø Sø) is a small freshwater lake in the Capital Region of Denmark. Like many Danish lakes, its surface temperature varies strongly with the seasons. In winter the water typically lies close to freezing, around 0–4 °C (32–39 °F). During spring it gradually warms to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F). Summer brings the warmest surface values, often in the range 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) and occasionally higher during heatwaves. In autumn temperatures fall back to roughly 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as cooling and turnover occur. These are typical seasonal ranges for shallow to medium-depth lakes in the region; local daily values can vary with weather, depth and sunlight.
Swimming at Buresø is commonly practiced and there are no general prohibitions on bathing in many Danish lakes, so recreational swimming is usually allowed unless specific signs indicate otherwise. However, there may be no formal bathing facilities, lifeguards or maintained beaches, and water quality can change seasonally; cyanobacterial blooms or runoff after heavy rain can temporarily reduce safety. Cold-water shock is also a concern outside the warmest months. Visitors should observe local signage, check current water-quality information from local authorities, and take ordinary precautions when entering open water.
