** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Furesø (Danish: Furesø Sø) is a deep, clear lake in the Capital Region of Denmark that is popular for outdoor recreation. Water temperatures vary seasonally and with depth: in spring the surface typically warms from about 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as the ice melts and sun increases, while summer surface temperatures most often range roughly 17–22 °C (63–72 °F) on typical years and can reach the mid-20s °C (mid-70s °F) during heat spells. In autumn the surface cools to around 6–14 °C (43–57 °F) and in winter surface temperatures are commonly near 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with occasional freezing and ice cover in cold seasons. Because Furesø is relatively deep, lower layers remain much colder year-round and thermal stratification can produce a sharp temperature contrast between the surface and deeper water.
Swimming in Furesø is generally allowed and is a common activity at designated bathing spots and shoreline access points. Public access rights and municipal bathing sites make it possible for people to swim, and local authorities monitor water quality, so guidelines and posted information should be checked before entering the water. Swimmers should be aware of variable temperatures, limited thermal protection in cold months, and the fact that deeper water remains significantly colder than the surface.
