** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Vejlesø (Danish: Vejlesø Sø) is a small freshwater lake in the Capital Region of Denmark that typically shows clear seasonal variation in water temperature. In spring the water commonly ranges from about 4–10 °C (39–50 °F) as it slowly warms after winter; summer temperatures often reach roughly 17–22 °C (63–72 °F), and can climb to around 24 °C (75 °F) during warm spells. Autumn sees cooling toward 8–15 °C (46–59 °F) as air temperatures drop, while winter temperatures are frequently close to 0–4 °C (32–39 °F) and the surface may ice over in colder years. Because the lake is relatively shallow in places, it warms and cools faster than deeper bodies of water, so local conditions can vary from these averages.
Swimming in Vejlesø is generally allowed as it is a freshwater body used for recreation, but there are no universal guarantees: local restrictions or temporary bans can be issued if water quality deteriorates, for example during blue‑green algal blooms or after heavy runoff. Bathers should check any posted signage or municipal information before entering, be aware that amenities and lifeguards may be limited, and take normal precautions regarding water depth, underwater vegetation and variable temperatures.
