*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Emdrup Sø, the small lake in the Capital Region of Denmark (Danish: Emdrup Sø), typically follows the seasonal temperature patterns of shallow urban lakes. In winter the surface often ranges from about 0–4 °C (32–39 °F), with occasional brief freezes in particularly cold spells. Spring temperatures rise to roughly 4–12 °C (39–54 °F) as the water warms, and in summer the lake can reach approximately 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) on warm days, making it noticeably more comfortable for short swims. During autumn the temperature usually falls back to around 8–14 °C (46–57 °F) as cooling and mixing set in.
Swimming at Emdrup Sø is not officially managed as a designated bathing site, so there are typically no lifeguards or formal facilities; locals may swim there informally when conditions seem favorable. Because the lake is urban and relatively shallow, water quality can vary with runoff, nutrient levels and occasional algae, which is why municipal authorities do not always promote it as a primary bathing destination. For safety and health reasons, swimmers should be aware that any swimming is at their own risk and it is wise to check current local water quality advisories before entering.
