Location & Local Information
Lake Borovik, located in the eastern part of Croatia near Đakovo, is an artificial reservoir surrounded by forested hills. Its water warms up gradually in late spring, and during the summer months temperatures often rise to around 22–25 °C, making it suitable for swimming and other water activities. In cooler seasons the lake is much colder, so bathing is limited mainly to the warmest part of the year.
The lake does not have large, developed beaches, but there are several natural access points where locals and visitors enjoy swimming. Besides bathing, Lake Borovik is well known for fishing and peaceful recreation in nature, which makes swimming here feel more like a quiet escape than a crowded beach experience.
