** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
Fysingen is a small lake in Stockholm County, Sweden, where water temperatures follow a clear seasonal pattern. In winter the surface usually drops to around 0–2 °C (32–36 °F) and the lake commonly freezes, making normal swimming unsafe. Spring sees a gradual rise from about 2–10 °C (36–50 °F) as ice melts and the water warms. During summer months, typical surface temperatures are roughly 16–22 °C (61–72 °F), with occasional warm spells pushing parts of the lake toward 24 °C (75 °F). In autumn the temperature falls again, commonly ranging between 8–12 °C (46–54 °F) before the lake returns to winter conditions.
Swimming in Fysingen is generally allowed because Swedish lakes are public and there are accessible shorelines, but there are few if any staffed bathing facilities and conditions vary. People commonly swim in summer when temperatures are comfortable, but users should take normal precautions: check local access points, be aware of sudden depth changes and underwater vegetation, and note that water quality and currents can change seasonally. Winter swimming is practiced by some in Sweden, but attempting to enter an ice-covered Fysingen should only be done with proper equipment, knowledge and supervision due to serious safety risks.
