*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
#Buckinghamshire
Dorney Lake is a shallow, man-made rowing course so water temperature varies with the seasons and local weather. In winter the surface often falls to around 2–6 °C (36–43 °F), rising through spring to roughly 6–12 °C (43–54 °F). Summer can produce the warmest conditions, typically 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) on warmer days, while autumn generally sees temperatures drop back to the 10–14 °C (50–57 °F) range. Because the lake is designed for rowing and regattas, and because of safety concerns from boats, submerged structures and variable water quality, casual swimming is not permitted; organised, supervised events with permission and safety cover are the only times people enter the water.
The setting close to Windsor means there are other attractions nearby. Visitors often combine a trip to the lake with a visit to Windsor Castle or the riverside town of Eton, and family attractions such as LEGOLAND Windsor are a short drive away. The adjacent countryside and parks also offer walking and cycling routes for those who prefer to stay on land.
