** Average - Average water temperature on this day in recent years
*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
#Norfolk
Cockshoot Broad is a shallow Norfolk broad whose surface temperatures vary with the seasons and with local weather. In summer, water commonly rises into the high teens and low twenties Celsius, roughly 18–24 °C (64–75 °F) on warm, calm days. Spring temperatures are cooler, often around 6–15 °C (43–59 °F), while autumn typically sees waters falling back to 10–16 °C (50–61 °F). In winter the broad can be only a few degrees above freezing, commonly 2–6 °C (36–43 °F). Because it is shallow, the broad can warm or cool more quickly than deeper lakes, and conditions on any given day will depend on sunshine, wind and recent rainfall.
Swimming at Cockshoot Broad is not widely promoted and may be discouraged or restricted; parts of the site are managed for wildlife and reedbed habitat, and there are potential hazards from submerged vegetation, boats and variable water quality including algal blooms at times. Visitors should heed local signage and landowner rules. Nearby attractions include other Broads waterways, riverside walking and cycling routes, reedbed birdwatching and small Norfolk villages offering boat hire and nature reserves.
