*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
#Norfolk
Ranworth Broad is a shallow, reed-fringed waterbody in the Norfolk Broads where surface temperatures vary with the seasons. In winter months the water typically sits around 2–6 °C (36–43 °F), rising in spring to roughly 6–12 °C (43–54 °F). Summer surface temperatures commonly reach 15–22 °C (59–72 °F), occasionally touching the mid‑20s °C (around 75 °F) on warm spells, and autumn cools back toward 8–14 °C (46–57 °F). These figures are approximate and can change with weather, depth and sheltered conditions among the reeds.
There are no formal designated bathing areas at Ranworth Broad and swimming is generally discouraged rather than actively promoted. The site is a nature reserve with extensive reedbeds and nesting birds, while shallow waters, boat traffic and occasional algal blooms or variable water quality can present safety and conservation concerns. Visitors often enjoy the reserve from boardwalks, hides and boats instead. Nearby attractions include the tower of St Helen’s church with broad views over the broads, wildlife hides, the village of Ranworth and the wider network of Broads waterways that are popular for boat trips and birdwatching.
