*** Forecast - Our water temperature forecast
Actual nearshore water temperatures may fluctuate by several degrees from the reported values, especially following heavy rainfall or extended periods of strong winds. Certain wind patterns can cause colder, deeper waters to rise and replace the sun-warmed surface water, leading to noticeable variations.
Our forecast is based on a proprietary mathematical model that considers real-time water temperature changes, historical trends, key weather patterns, wind strength and direction, and air temperature specific to each region. Additionally, we incorporate data from other resorts to enhance accuracy.

Location & Local Information
#Norfolk
Malthouse Broad, one of the shallow lakes in the Norfolk Broads, has seasonal water temperatures that reflect typical east‑English inland conditions. In winter the water commonly sits around 2–6 °C (36–43 °F), spring sees a gradual rise to roughly 6–14 °C (43–57 °F), summer highs commonly reach 15–22 °C (59–72 °F) on warm spells, and autumn temperatures generally fall back to about 10–14 °C (50–57 °F). Shallow areas warm fastest in calm weather, while deeper or shaded parts remain cooler.
Swimming at Malthouse Broad is largely informal rather than supervised; there are no designated lifeguarded beaches and local bylaws or private ownership can affect access, so swimming is effectively at your own risk. Hazards include boat traffic, submerged vegetation and variable water quality, so many people choose buoyancy aids or swim near the shore. The area still offers plenty for visitors: boat hire and river cruises, birdwatching and nature reserves, waterside pubs and quiet walking or cycling routes through the Broads.
