In winter the surface typically falls to about 4–6 °C (39–43 °F), rising to roughly 8–12 °C (46–54 °F) in spring as the water begins to warm. In summer you can expect surface temperatures around 16–22 °C (61–72 °F) on warmer days, while autumn cooling generally brings the water back to roughly 10–14 °C (50–57 °F).
